More Christmas with John Davis

Our neices and nephew got a 4wheeler for Christmas. They were excited about riding it. They wanted to pose with John Davis on their new ride.






John Davis is learning to like being on his stomach. He somehow manages to get from sitting position to crawling position. He rocks back and forth, but he doesn't crawl. I wonder how long it will be before he is crawling all over the place?

We had a great Christmas with John Davis. It was such a wonderful experience beginning traditions that will last a lifetime. We visited with friends and family, and we took lots of pictures.

Thanksgiving & John Davis's 1/2 Birthday

November 22 was a great day! Keith and I took John Davis over to Granny and Papa's lodge on the farm, and we ate a terrific Thanksgiving meal. Most of Keith's large family was there. Afterwards, we celebrated John Davis's 1/2 birthday. No, I did not bake the cake, but I did decorate it! Our cousin's Amy and Lindsay even sang" Happy Birthday!" Well, you could say they attempted to sing it...joyfully! It was a treat! I can not believe that 6 months ago our precious angel was born. What a wonderful present from God! We are thankful for our family, our health, our salvation and our home!

Baby Dedication

November 18, 2007 was the day of John Davis's baby dedication. Keith and I were so proud to announce to our friends and family that we want John Davis to live out the Lord's will. We want him to see the good in others, to help those who are hurting, to speak the wonderful name of the Lord, but most of all to live for Jesus!

It was cold one day last week, and we had to bundle John Davis up in his new sweater and cords. I couldn't help but to take pictures!

High cotton

I thought I had plenty of time to get a picture of John Davis sitting in cotton. We live right next to a cotton field; however, I came home and the John Deer tractors were out picking the cotton. I threw something on John Davis and we ran to the field. He was mesmerized by the dirt and grass he was sitting in. I thought the pictures turned out cute!

Busted!

I promise the videos will get better. We are learning how to use the camera on top of learning how to edit them to fit on the blog spot.

Ribbit, ribbit

Halloween was on Wednesday night, and we were just planning on meeting the "trick-or-treaters" at the door. I didn't purchase an outfit for John Davis because we weren't planning on going anywhere. One of my friends thought that it was terrible that I didn't have an outfit for John Davis, so I found this frog outfit that his cousin, Caden, gave him. It is too big for John Davis, so you might be seeing it again next year!

War Eagle

Gail, one of John Davis's grandmothers, has graciously made John Davis many new outfits. She is wonderful on the sewing machine. She made all of her grandchildren these cute Auburn outfits. Keith and Dad called a truce on GA/AU. Keith still cringes when he sees this precious outfit. If Papa and G have anything to say about it, "War Eagle" would be John Davis's first words.

John Davis Rolls Over

Well, John Davis is 5 months old and he has finally turned over. We thought he would a while back, but he never did. He kept trying to, but he couldn't make it over. He rolled over from his stomach to his back!

Fall Break to Gatlinburg

What a wonderful blessing it is for Keith's parents to have a time share. They have been so kind to invite us on their vacations. This Fall Break (Oct. 18-21), Keith and I traveled up to Gatlinburg, TN with John Davis. We began our journey Wednesday after school. Our bags were packed and we left as soon as possible. We all stayed in a nice two bedroom condo in Sevierville, TN. We shopped at many stores, visited the Apple Barn, saw the Black bears at Ober Gatlinburg and purchased our favorite candies from the Old Timey Country Kitchen. We also visited Keith's favorite spot at the Chimney Tops trail in the Great Smokey Mountains for a picnic. We jumped rocks and took many family pictures. What a fun trip we had in Gatlinburg. John Davis also rolled over from his tummy to his back! We were so excited!

Watch Out Deer

John Davis received his first lesson with a bow after our trip to Mark's Melon Patch. Like I said earlier, John Davis wouldn't smile for the pictures at the Melon Patch; however, when we walked in Solo Archery, his eyes lit up. Is that a coincidence? Keith has been showing John Davis Monster Buck videos.

Mark's Melon Patch

Keith and I took John Davis Oct. 13 to Mark's Melon Patch. We didn't think we would ever get there. Mom and I have been before on our way home from shopping in Parrot, GA. I just knew I would remember how to get there. The further we drove, the more skeptical I was with my sense of direction. A few minutes and a Mountain Dew and King size Twix later, Keith and I saw the sign. John Davis loved all of the pumpkins and sunflowers; he wouldn't smile much due to just waking up from his nap.

Gabby and John Davis went to the Homecoming parade! Mimi had these cute outfits made for them. Watch out cheerleaders and football players, Gabby and John Davis are after your position!
